Janosch Siepen is a German freelance reporter and current MSc Conflict Studies Candidate at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). His work includes articles for SPIEGEL ONLINE, columns for ZEIT ONLINE, interviews for taz am Wochenende, reports and portraits for ZEIT Christ & Welt and F.A.Z. Woche, television reviews for Welt.de, political coverage for Tagesspiegel, local coverage for Bonner General-Anzeiger and Bonner Rundschau as well as television pieces for NDR. Furthermore, he worked as a Junior Producer at ARD-Studio New York. Other journalistic experience includes internships at ZDF and Radio Bonn/Rhein-Sieg. Besides working as a journalist, he was a Junior Research Fellow at the Center for Global Studies of Bonn University. He is a fellow of an extracurricular journalism scholarship and studied Political Science, Sociology and History in Bonn and Cairo. He speaks English fluently, a bit of French and learns Arabic.
